Samsung hasn’t yet launched a tablet in 2024, but they did launch plenty last year. I’m talking about the Tab S9 series, but also about the Tab S9 FE and a Tab A or two. Now they’re preparing a successor for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, a potential Tab S7 Lite. We have more details below.
There’s a new Samsung tablet that has been spotted on GeekBench and based on the model number, it could end up being a successor to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. It’s been 2 years since that model came out, with a pretty high level of success. The new Samsung slate has a model number of SM-P620. The potential Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Lite comes with an Exynos 1280 octa core processor, with a peak clock rate of 2.40 GHz.
It also features 4 GB of RAM and also runs on Android 14. In GeekBench it gets 930 points in the single core test and 1840 points in the multi core one. We expect a price below $400, stylus support and One UI 6.1 on top. The screen hopefully won’t be a TFT this time, but at least an IPS LCD, if not an AMOLED even. The predecessor had a 10.4 inch TFT display, a Snapdragon 720G CPU and a microSD card slot.
It also had an 8 MP back camera with autofocus and a 5 MP front camera. Also, a 7040 mAh battery was in the mix, plus AKG tuned stereo speakers and an audio jack.
